Grant White is a Senior Lecturer in Eastern Christian Studies and teaches in the areas of liturgiology and liturgical theology, as well as patristics, historical theology, and ecumenical studies. He was educated at Harvard, Oxford, and the University of Notre Dame, where he received a doctorate in theology (liturgical studies). His dissertation was on daily prayer and asceticism in the Syriac and Ge’ez Testament of Our Lord. He has taught at institutions of theological higher education in the United States, Finland, England, and Sweden. He has also served as Principal of the Institute for Orthodox Christian Studies, Cambridge (UK). He is a member of the Orthodox Church of Finland.
