Sankt Ignatios College and the Lausanne Orthodox Initiative was hosting an international conference promoting conversation and dialogue between Orthodox and Evangelical Christians on the theme of liturgy/worship and Christian discipleship.
The conference took place 10-13 September, 2023, at the Ad Astra Conference Centre, Västra Mälarehamnen 9, 151 36 Södertälje, Stockholm, Sweden.
The International Conference on Liturgy and Christian Formation, co-sponsored by Sankt Ignatios College and the Lausanne Orthodox Initiative, concluded on the morning of September 13. Two full days of papers and presentations on a wide range of topics by Orthodox, Evangelical, and Pentecostal scholars generated constructive, fruitful conversations among the conference participants. Conference participants came from Europe, North America, and Sri Lanka. The purpose of the conference was to build friendships among conference participants and to develop a network of people from Orthodox, Evangelical, and Pentecostal traditions who will continue the conversations and work begun at this meeting. The conference organizers plan to publish the conference papers.
