Dr. Suriel (al-Anba Bishoy) is associate professor and lecturer as well as research leader. He received his doctorate at Fordham University on a thesis on religious pedagogy in the Coptic Church where he singled out Habib Girgis, founder of the Coptic Institute. Before that, he trained in religious education at the University of Sydney and at the Australian Catholic University. Previously, he was rector of St. Athanasius College in Melbourne.
