In this program you will study the Allmän kurs (50%) in order to gain the necessary qualification to study further at a higher education college or University. Here you deepen your knowledge and skills in Swedish, rhetoric, writing, analysis of sources and study techniques. In parallel with this, you will study at Sankt Ignatios College (50%) where you can immerse yourself in four church traditions: Tewahedo, Coptic, Syrian or Byzantine.
Allmän kurs at the folkhögskola (50%):
- Swedish 1, 2 & 3 / Swedish as a Second Language 1, 2 & 3
- Social Studies 1b (with the opportunity to study Social Studies 2 & 3)
- Religious Studies 1 (with the opportunity to study Religious Studies 2)
- Mathematics 1a, 1b or 1c (with the opportunity to study Mathematics 2 & 3)
- English 5 & 6 (with the opportunity to study Engelska 7)
- History 1a1
- Science 1a1
Courses include, amongst other,
- Church Languages: Ge’ez, Classical Syrian, Coptic, Greek or Church Slavic
- Church Music from the student’s own tradition
