This course is an accessible introduction to Eastern Christian studies with the aim of equipping students to serve their Churches in a thoughtful and critical way. In the course students are familiarized with the scriptural, theological and liturgical underpinnings of their tradition, and introduced to the development of the different forms of Orthodoxy through history. A special focus is given to the development of Christology up to and after the Council of Chalcedon.
Students pursue their studies in an inter-Orthodox context.
