We are delighted to announce that the Swedish government has granted Sankt Ignatios College the right to have an independent degree-awarding university college.
The name in English of our university college will be Sankt Ignatios College, Stockholm School of Eastern Christian Studies, and we give courses at the advanced level (Master’s level).
The importance of this approval by the government cannot be overstated. It means that, for the first time, Sweden will have an independent degree-awarding university college with an orientation towards Eastern Christian Studies, alongside the already existing university colleges oriented towards the Protestant and Roman Catholic traditions.
