Our postdoctoral researcher Dr. Calum Samuelson has written a short essay for Public Orthodoxy along with Dr. Tsehay Ademe Belay, who is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Ethiopian Studies (Addis Ababa University).
Their piece considers some practical benefits of the ancient art of Qǝne (ቅኔ) in the Tewahedo tradition. In particular, they reflect on some means by which Qǝne can communicate divine mysteries for various types of Christians simultaneously, especially within increasingly globalized contexts.
