General Education Program with a Tewahedo Profile

Sankt Ignatios Folkhögskola is presently offering the opportunity to combine Tewahedo studies with subjects which are usually taught as part of the General Education Program (pre-gymnasium level) at the Folkhögskola.

This is a two year program.

During the first two years, students study two subjects from the General Education Program; Swedish as a second language (which also includes learning about Swedish society and culture) and Mathematics. During the second year, students will learn English as well.

Within the Tewahedo part of the course students study Begena and driving test theory. During the second year students learn Geez and how to start and run a business.

Because the course is taught in Swedish, applicants should have completed SFI up to level D before they begin studies on the General Education Program.

Applicants will be invited to attend an interview and also to take a level assessment test in Swedish in order to assess the applicant’s potential for studying and making the most of the course.
