He holds a BA in theology and a license in Christian Orthodox Theology from Paris. He is the author of several scholarly articles (in Arabic and French). He is passionate about the quality of education of future priests and leaders in the Church. His aim is to provide the leaders of the future with a high level of Christian Orthodox understanding so that they possess a modern theological language with which to engage modern society. He is interested in the ways in which the Orthodox traditions can be maintained and strengthened in a Western context
Fr Jean believes that the global challenge is to find a balance between the practical and theoretical, between doxa and praxis. He longs for the Church to understand and recover its tradition so that the Church can enrich the world with its vision.
His motto is: “How can i,” he said “ unless someone explains it to me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him – Acts 8:31
